Bingo - Festidanza

Festidanza es uno de los proyectos más importantes del año, reúne a toda la familia San Jorgina y todos los alumnos y alumnas de los diferentes niveles hacen un despliegue de ritmo y color a través de bellas coreografías pertenecientes a las diversas danzas folklóricas de las tres regiones del Perú.

El objetivo del festidanza es desarrollar en los alumnos y alumnas la identidad nacional y el amor por lo nuestro. Motivar el trabajo cooperativo en donde cada uno pone su granito de arena en conseguir con esfuerzo el primer puesto en las diferentes categorías que se proponen.

El festidanza en el Colegio San Jorge de Miraflores es un día de fiesta, porque es un día de familia, un día de bingo - kermesse, de camaradería y de estrechar los lazos de amistad.

Springfestival

Our Springfestival was incredible!

The Bear Cubs were involved in many competitions. We had Spanish and English contests. We were the winners in most of them.

We had the spelling bee contest, the story telling contest, the story writer contest. We won the dramatization contest with our teather "The Strongest One Of All". After a lot of practice we present it for all the Junior School.

This experience was amazing! Lets chek the pictures.

Veggie Patch

After four months our seeds have grown a lot!
We have big carrots and big radishes now!

We have recognized that a seed grow into a plant. It is very important that plants that are growing have light, water, soil and air.

Check how some of our friends have their plants harvested.

Pijama's Day

Almost all the school was in Pijamas. Even the teachers!

We had also a nice theater about Anja in the Jungle. Let see some pictures about it!

Means of Transportation

The means of transportation are different kinds of transport facilities that are often used to transport people or things. The are classified in the following categories: Air Transport, Water Transport and Land Transport.
This video will help us to learn more about means of transportation.

Shapes

This term Bear Cubs played with logic blocks and they identified and named shapes. They learned the angles, corners and sides of each shape.

We also learned about solids. Now, we know the cylinder, the sphere, the cone, the cube, the rectangular prism and the pyramid. At home we made our solids and now we can play with them in the class.

Recycling proyect

Our recycling project was developed during this week. Just a week before Springfestival.

For us, recycle is to collect things again. For example plastic bottles.

For this recycling proyect we used the eggs box and we made a car with it.

It was very important for us to do this because we know now that people can take care of resources like us!

Smartboard

We need to practice maths exercises in the special room. This special room is the Smartboard room. We love this class.
In this photos we play with odd and even numbers and we also play with the symbols of grater than and less than.
This is very funny and interesting!

Study Visit

Last August 14th all first grade students visited the Legends park.

In this study visit the children could experience the theme of animals and houses. These issues were worked in the class. Children could learn about the houses of the coast, the jungle and the highland. They coul also know the constructions materials used in these houses. We also observe the flora and fauna of each region of our country.

We shared a very enjoyable day with our friends. This photos can demostrate it.

Fossils

Fossils are parts and imprints of a plant or an animal that lived long ago. We can learn from fossils. We can tell how big an animal was or how many legs it had. Kinds of plants or animals that are no longer living are extinct.

In this Term we learn a lot of things:

- We know how to add.
- We know how the double numbers.
- We know the cycle of the butterfly and the frog.
- We know how to say our personal information in english.
- But also...we know how to prepare PIZZA

The school give us a space where we can plant.

Fruits and seeds

In Science we are learning that a seed grows into a plant.
In this class we discover a secret: a lot of fruits have their seeds inside.

The Smartboard

We played on the smartboard with mathematics exercises. We practiced addition and substraction. It was an entertaining way to learn.
